1. Ordering goods from us online
When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. An order is placed on our website via adding a product to the shopping cart and proceeding through our checkout process. The checkout process includes giving us delivery and any other relevant details for your order, entering payment information and submitting your order.
We reserve the right to limit the number of an item customers can purchase in a single transaction.
We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received and accepted your order, which indicates that your order has been accepted and you may not cancel it. You may print out this e-mail as a receipt of your order.
2. Refusing or cancelling orders
In the unlikely event that the goods ordered are no longer available we reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, solely by our own judgement, to have been placed fraudulently. We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that cannot be delivered within New Zealand.
While we endeavour to ensure that the price and description of goods or services is accurate, if there is an error in the process of listing a product or service on our website or a technical error in the processing of your order we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.
Our right to cancel orders applies to orders that have been accepted.
3. Online payment options
We currently accept payment via POLi real-time internet banking, secure credit card payments via Stripe, AfterPay, and online banking (for NZ residents only - purchases will be sent out once funds confirmed in our account).
4. Pricing
All prices listed on www.smashtennis.nz are in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST. We reserve the right to alter prices on our website at any time for any reason.
LOYALTY DISCOUNTS: Not valid along with any other offers or promotions, such as free gifts with purchase.
5. Website Privacy and Credit Card Security
Your privacy is safeguarded in accordance with New Zealand legislation. All payments via our website are processed securely by our credit card and internet banking gateways.
Your email address will go onto our e-newsletter database from which you may unsubscribe at any time. We do not pass customer details on to any third party.
By using or accessing this website, you are consenting to Smash Tennis's use of Cookies. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive and allow the website to remember important information that will make your use of the site more convenient. This website uses Cookies to analyse user activity through Google Analytics to improve the functionality and user experience of the website and to assist with repeat ordering. 6. Delivery
At this time, we only deliver to New Zealand addresses. We require a physical delivery address. We cannot deliver to Post Office boxes.
Please note that a courier signature required option is available and recommended. The goods become the recipient’s property and responsibility once they have been signed for at the time of delivery, if applicable. If goods are lost or damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 business days at service@smashtennis.co.nz. We will use this delivery information to make a claim against our shipping company. We will offer you the choice of a replacement or a full refund, once we have received confirmation from our shipping company that delivery was not successful. To ensure successful delivery, please provide a delivery address where someone will be present during business hours to sign form if required, or advise a safe place for the postal service to leave your package on your property.
7. Returns, exchanges and refunds
Please email us at service@smashtennis.co.nz or phone 021 493 489 if you intend to exchange or return an item.
Refunds or returns/exchanges of Pro Shop products are possible within 30 days of the purchase date, but the item must still be in its original condition as you received it:
- All plastics and packaging intact and the item unused
- Shoes must be tried on indoors only.
Please return to sender (contact us to confirm the address) and we will re-ship your item or arrange a refund once the goods have been received back by us.
We do not reimburse postage/courier fees for returns unless the item is damaged or faulty and we will not be liable for the parcel's journey. We suggest you obtain a tracking number for your own security purposes.
Refunds will be made to your New Zealand bank account of choice and will be processed within 2 days of our receiving the parcel back, provided the bank details have been included in the parcel or emailed to us by the time of its arrival.
We can exchange to another product if required, subject to stock availability. Any difference in price can be managed via internet banking by Smash Tennis or the customer. We are happy to discuss this via email or phone to help meet our customers' needs.
Exceptions:
No refunds are given on tennis lesson gift vouchers. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred lesson time/s, subject to coach availability.
Whilst Smash Tennis takes care that second-hand equipment sold through our Pro Shop is fit for use, its price will reflect its used condition and no returns or refunds are offered on second-hand purchases.
8. Private Lesson Cancellation
Our private lessons are in demand. We ask that you respect the coaches' time and allow us adequate notice to reschedule someone in from our waiting list in the event you need to cancel or rebook.
Any cancellation of a booked private lesson made with less than 8 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee for the full amount of the lesson cost. The same will apply if you do not show up for your lesson.Term bookings for after-school private lessons are charged in full in advance and are a commitment for the whole term. No refunds or credits will be provided if a player does not attend any lesson for any reason, as these are peak time slots that coaches expect to work through and will need to be paid for regardless of player no-shows. You may find an alternate player to take your lesson, if you know you will be absent on occasion, and come to a private arrangement about the lesson fee. In this instance, please notify Jo who the alternate player will be on that date.
9. After-School Group Coaching Classes
Group lessons are subject to minimum participant numbers and court availability. While every effort is made to accommodate all participants and deliver classes in accordance with the published schedule, we reserve the right to cancel or consolidate any group lesson that does not meet the required minimum enrolment numbers.
In the event that a class is cancelled due to insufficient numbers or court allocation constraints, alternative options will be offered where available.
From time to time, adjustments to the schedule may be necessary throughout the term. Participants will be notified of any changes as soon as reasonably practicable. Refunds will be given for the balance of lessons we do not provide if changes are made.
10. Adult Group Coaching Classes
Adult group lessons are subject to a minimum enrolment of three (3) participants for a class to proceed in accordance with the published timetable.
If minimum participant numbers are not met, we reserve the right to cancel the class, adjust the scheduled time, or offer the lesson at a revised rate to reflect the reduced number of participants.
Participants will be notified of any such changes and may choose to accept the amended arrangement or cancel their booking without penalty.
11. Warranty information
We provide the supplier's 12-month warranty on all new racquets. This warranty becomes null and void if the racquet has come into contact with anything other than a tennis ball. The warranty does not cover strings. No warranty is offered on second-hand racquets.
